Updates for Elizabeth

Home again

Hey all! I’m late on this post. Sorry about that! She came back home Saturday afternoon, after waiting to be discharged for 6 hours. Go Jupiter Medical. Her color is back and she has some energy back. So hopefully she can use this time, before the next round of chemo, to eat and build her strength. Thanks for all your love and support.

Fluid is drained and blood is being transfused.

The fluid draining went well. They got 1.2 liters!  A lot. She is already looking better and has a little more spirits. And was actually asking for food! Amazing. It’s the little things. 🙂 She’s hooked up to the blood and everything seems to be ok there. Hopefully she will get out tomorrow. Love to all.

He said the spot that’s still visible could be scar tissue as well. So some great news. 🙂  Her next follow up for.. Read More

Gosh Darn (Expletive) Insurance Companies

As you may have guessed from the title of this post, the insurance company denied coverage for the chemo drug the doctor wanted. So she started on Taxotere today. She will go weekly for the foreseeable future. They will, obviously, monitor her to make sure her body is handling it well. Not a whole lot more to say on that. She will lose her hair and has already taken control.. Read More
