Hang in there we are thinking of you. If you need anything let me know.

The author of this poem is unknown:
What Cancer Cannot Do-
It cannot cripple love.
It cannot shatter hope.
It cannot corrode faith.
It cannot eat away peace.
It cannot destroy confidence.
It cannot kill friendship.
It cannot shut out memories.
It cannot silence courage.
It cannot reduce eternal life.
It cannot quench the spirit.
Liz, keep positive thoughts and our prayers and love will help you stay strong.

Great poem for encouragement towards all our lives and hardships! We shall persevere! Take heed, Liz, we’re all behind you!

Liz- I am sure as a wonderful teacher, you have taught many children the meaning of thanksgiving. Besides the traditional meaning of being thankful for the harvest, I also understand that it means a time to show gratitude. Today then is the perfect day to remind you how grateful my family is to be part of your family. Wishing that your day will be filled with love, happiness, and hope. (And knowing your family, good food is a given!) We love you.

Liz- I’ve told you this before. I think about you every day. I know what you are going through is not easy or fun. But you are a fighter and always have been. And no mater what you have always come out smelling like a rose! This will be no exception. Stay positive, get your rest, walk every day you can and remember there are many people sending positive vibes and prayers your way.
Love you, Tinker

Hi, Tinker,
It’s 3 a.m. and I am sitting here rereading all of the comments. This is another side effect of my Chemo – I come home exhausted; fall dead asleep; then wake up all hyper in the wee small hours of the morning. I’m still exhausted but just can’t sleep. My point is – I sit here and reread all of the Emails, Comments, and cards. They help lift me up. Thank you for all of your positive encouragement!

To win you have to work hard- that is exhausting! Keep it up but take the rest when you can!

Liz,
Good to hear from you via your own personal journey page. Of course, we miss you at work, and hope to see you back whenever you can. Glad you’re fighting back although I’ve heard chemo is pretty gruesome. Take your nutrients and get plenty of sleep, let your body rest and defend itself. It’s the end of the first trimester, can’t believe it, this year is going too fast. The kids barely get the flow yet. Hope you feel better soon! Paula

Thank you, Paula. It is do good to hearvfrom you. Right now I’m dealing with the Radiation Therapy for my neck. I have my last treatment Monday!!! They say I won’t notice any side effects for 1-2 weeks after the last treatment. My next Chemo is Wednesday.
Can’t believe it’s the end of the first trimester. How are our children doing on the diagnostics? Give them my love! I miss everyone so much!

Diagnostics got cancelled today, so tomorrow is Reading and Math on Thursday. I’ll let you know the results! We have a huge hill to climb here, too, but we’re all in this together.

Liz, you are working so hard, and we are so proud of you and inspired by you. Please know we keep you in our thoughts always and will continue praying for you. Love you.
